This question depends on your purpose of travelling to Batam.
If you are travelling with your family and young children, you can consider a 2-night stay. With more time, you can enjoy the facilities in the hotel and resort and have a more relaxing time, instead of rushing to check-out from the hotel the next day.
For a 1-night stay, it is also good if you are busy and just need a short getaway, with your partner or friends.
Based on a 1-night itinerary, you will arrive in Batam close to lunch time. If you are on a free and easy package, you might want to stop by the local malls for lunch and massage before checking into the hotel at about 3pm. The rest of the day will be free at leisure.
The next day after breakfast at the hotel, your transfer service will arrive at around 11am. You will be dropped of at the ferry terminal for your ferry back to Singapore. If time permits, you can shop around at Mega Mall Batam and have lunch before your ferry departure.
