This is the second time I've stayed here at Oakwood. The first time here was such a great experience that I had to come back and recommend friends to it as well.First off, the location is fantastic - it's literally linked to Grand Batam Mall, probably one of the best and newest malls on the island. There's a bridge that links the buildings through the carpark.The hotel itself is relatively new, so it's clean and the furniture does not look worn out. The staff are well trained and friendly, and can speak English well. Another thing that I liked about this hotel is that there is at least one water dispenser (hot and cold) on every floor, which helps since the water from the taps isn't exactly potable.The rooms were spacious enough - a space to prop the luggage up at, a couch for 2 persons, and a decently wide bathroom.This time around, they also gave us complimentary high tea for 4 pax. The complimentary high tea was for their set, which meant we couldn't order whatever we wanted. Each set came with a coffee/tea, 3 types of sweets, and 3 types of savoury. The savoury items were great, but the sweets were just a little too sweet for my liking. The bistro itself was very well decorated and designed - it gave a very classy and comfortable feel.I would definitely recommend this hotel!
